National Airlines’ Boeing 777F freighter, registered N792CA, completed a nonstop flight from Prestwick Airport in Scotland to Melbourne, Australia. Operated on behalf of Golden Aviation, the mission transported a replacement aircraft part for another airline.
The aircraft departed Prestwick on August 4 and landed safely in Melbourne after a 19-hour and 24-minute flight, covering a total distance of 9,849 nautical miles.
National Airlines announced that the Prestwick-Melbourne operation marked the world’s longest commercial Boeing 777F flight.
The airline said the record flight demonstrated its ability to plan and execute highly complex, ultra-long-haul cargo operations.
National Airlines added that the mission was completed through the coordinated efforts of its flight operations, maintenance, dispatch and ground teams, while also thanking its customer, Golden Aviation, for its support.
